A montage of the band’s members circa its 35th anniversary

Max Creek will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a series of Northeast shows this April. The band’s celebratory run includes stops at Simsbury, CT’s The Old Well (4/28), New York’s Sullivan Hall (4/29) and Pawtucket, RI’a The Met (4/30). The jamband veteran will also host its annual Camp Creek Festival from June 25-26 in Oxford, ME.

Max Creek formed as a country band in 1971, and founding bassist John Rider continues to perform with the group. Guitarist Scott Murawski joined the band in 1972 when he was only 15 years old and continues to front the band. He is currently touring as part of Mike Gordon Band.
