Robert Randolph & the Family will play a run of shows at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl from May18-20. The group is the latest jamband to host a multi-night underplay run at the venue (Galactic and Soulive have headlined similar runs). Though this is Randolph’s first multi-night run, he has played the room as a special guest with Soulive. He also hosted a Haiti benefit at Brooklyn Bowl in 2010.

Randolph is an old friend of Brooklyn Bowl founder Peter Shapiro, who used to own the Wetlands (“Robert and I are like cousins,” Shapiro says). The pedal steel guitarist was one of the last future stars to emerge from the Wetlands before in closed in 2001. His first album was recorded at the club and features an introduction by Shapiro.
