Following an appearance at the Wanee Festival on Saturday, the Tedeschi Trucks Band will head off to Australia and New Zealand. Last night, however, the band was in New York City playing to fellow musicians, fans and Sony label staffers alike at the Highline Ballroom. While the group’s debut album Revelator will not be released until June 7, the group performed a number of the songs from the album at the Highline, including takes on “Midnight in Harlem,” “Love Has Something Else To Say,” “Until You Remember” and “Bound for Glory.” The set also included covers of “Space Captain” and “Ball and Chain,” while Oteil Burbridge took over on lead vocals for “Manic Depression.”

Allison Murphy’s photos of the show appear in today’s installment of our blog.
