Brett Dennen kicks off a tour tonight in Houston that will continue through June 25. Dawes opens this evening’s gig and will appear on many of the dates (with The Submarines and Bobby Long also providing support). Over the course of this tour Dennen will donate all proceeds from album and vinyl sales both on the road and through his online store to Invisible Children. These funds will be directed to help end the use of child soldiers and assist communities victimized by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in central Africa. At a number of the tour stops Dennen also will work with the Barefoot Wine and Surfrider Foundation to help volunteers clean beaches (and will perform some participant appreciation celebrations following the cleanups).
