Bonnaroo has both confirmed its Cinema Tent scheduled and fleshed out its Solar Stage activities. In addition to some regular film offerings, the air conditioned Cinema Tent will feature a screening of the new comedy 30 Minutes or Less along with Q & A with film co-star Aziz Ansari and revisit the 2004 film Garden State with special guest Zach Braff. According to Bonnaroo’s promoters, “Braff will take questions about making the film and whether The Shins have continued to change his life. Braff will also discuss the influence of Hal Ashby’s work on his filmmaking career following a screening of Harold & Maude earlier that day—part of a series of screenings celebrating Ashby’s work.”

Music and film will also collide during a screening of Danny Clinch’s new documentary film Live From Preservation Hall: A Louisiana Fairytale, which traces My Morning Jacket’s 2010 run with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. After the screening, members of both bands will come together for a short performance. Meanwhile, Rock the Earth’s Green Screens series will boast The Last Mountain (with an introduction by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and with a post film Q&A with Mr. Kennedy and Director Bill Haney), SoLa: Louisiana Water Stories (with an introduction by Benjamin Jaffe, Creative Director of Preservation Hall & Tuba/Bass Player for Preservation Hall Jazz Band and with a post film Q&A with Director Jon Bowermaster and Natasha Noordhoff (Gulf Restoration Network) and Dive! (with an introduction by Railroad Earth’s Tim Carbone and with a post film Q&A with film Director Jeremy Seifert and Anna Rachael Borofsky (Rock and Wrap It Up, and Clean Vibes), among other films.

Elsewhere on the festival site, Rock the Earth will curate the festival’s Planet Roo Solar Stage festivities. Rock the Earth Executive Director Marc Ross will lead several panel discussions on “Social Change Through Music.” Confirmed participants in the Social Change Through Music programming include Ben Sollee, Greensky Bluegrass, Abigail Washburn & the Village, Hanggai, Rotary Downs, Aunt Martha, Aaron “Woody” Wood, Natasha Noordhoff (Gulf Restoration Network), Shannon Foley (Love Hope Strength), Katie Ries (Bonnaroo Carbon Shredders), Scott Swimmer (DRUM Strong), Stephen Dupuis (Defy Thirst), Amy White (Hear the Music Live), and several more to be announced. Perhaps the Solar Stage’s biggest highlight will be a special performance by Widespread Panic’s John Bell, who will also sit for an interview with Ross.
