The Avett Brothers, Ray LaMontagne and The Levon Helm Band are among the acts scheduled to apper at at the second annual Life is Good Festival. The festival—which is organized by The Life is Good Foundation and Bonnaroo promoters Superfly—will take place at Canton, MA’s Prowse Farm on September 24 and 25.

All of the festival’s profits will go to the Life is Good Playmakers, a charity that helps children overcome adversity such as violence, illness, and poverty. The Playmakers’ philosophy is that “play can heal,” and the Life is Good Festival aims to provide children and adolescents who have suffered a traumatic event with the optimism needed to lead a fulfilling life. The festival’s goal is to create a community of fundraisers, and festival-goers who raise more than $500 will be awarded with exclusive backstage access.

Life is Good will also boast a variety of interactive arts activities, such as the Martin Jam Tent—where you can play your own music with others on a Martin guitar—and the Art for All Mural, a 1,500-tile wall waiting to be filled with the community’s creative input. There will also be plenty of kids’ activities: rock wall climbing, sack races, face painting, a dog show, obstacle courses and an “instrument petting zoo,” where kids can play with a variety of instruments.
