Phish – 6/10/11 “The Curtain With” from Phish on Vimeo.

Last night, Phish performed its 10th show at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ. The night kicked off with the first “Rocky Top” since December 30, 2009 and the second bluegrass opener in as many shows. From the outset, the band leaned heavily on its early material. The set ran particularly long, and featured the 2011 debuts of “Scent of a Mule,” “The Sloth” and “The Curtain (with).”

The second set continued to lean on material from the band’s earlier catalog, opening with the combination of “Down with Disease” into “Free.” During “Big Black Fury Creature From Mars,” Trey Anastasio raised his mic several feet in the air while Mike Gordon sat down, cross-legged, and lowered his mic to the ground. The band finished the song in this way, before moving into the first “Swept Away, “Steep” pairing of the year. Similar to the first set, the second ran quite long, and closed out with “Joy,” which was debuted at the same venue in 2009.

Phish performs at Merriweather Post Pavilion tonight and tomorrow.
