To celebrate the recent release of their reunion album Rocket Science, the original Bela Fleck and the Flecktones lineup will tour the U.S. and Canada throughout the summer. The highly anticipated album (which is the group’s first in 20 years to feature original keyboardist Howard Levy) immediately shot to #1 on Billboard’s Jazz Chart, Soundscan’s Jazz Chart, as well as iTune’s Jazz Chart. Unsurprisingly, the group’s virtuosic performances at the Mountain Jam Festival, the Bonnaroo Festival of Music and Arts and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival received equally enthusiastic praise.
