Galactic closed out a four-night residency at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl this past Friday. Like the previous three nights of Galactic’s run, Living Colour singer Corey Glover acted as the band’s frontman. Sex Mob slide trumpeter—and Levon Helm Band member—Steven Bernstein also sat in with the group for most if its set. Near the end of the night, the High & Mighty Brass Band took the stage for “Blackbird Special” and “Ooh Nah Nay.”

Thursday night’s performance also featured some special guests. In addition to Glover, Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno appeared on “Hamp’s Hump,” “Manic Depression” and “Crazyhorse Mongoose.” Roots drummer ?uestlove—who DJs at Brooklyn Bowl every Thursday—also sat in on “Hip Hug Her.” The performance was part of The Roots’ 25th anniversary week.
