The New Mastersounds have confirmed that their seventh studio album Breaks from the Border will be released on August 9 via Tallest Man Records. As previously reported, this is the first New Mastersounds album recorded in the US. For the first time, the members of the band will also sing on the record (in the past the group has used guest vocalists). The New Mastersounds spent the 4th of July weekend playing shows with Widespread Panic in Wyoming, and Umphrey’s McGee at the legendary
Red Rocks Amphitheater. The members of the band recently backed Art Neville at New Jersey’s Crawfish festival. Neville first sat in with the band in New Orleans this past Halloween.
