The Wood Brothers, the Americana / roots music duo consisting of brothers Oliver (guitar, vocals) and Chris Wood (upright bass, harmonica, vocals), plan to release their third album, Smoke Ring Halo, on August 2, 2011. The album was produced and engineered by Jim Scott (Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Lucinda Williams) and featured an appearance by executive producer Zac Brown. In support of the new release, The Wood Brothers have also announced an early fall tour, beginning on August 11 in Hudson, NY and ending on October 9 in Roseland, VA.
