The next installment in the Grateful Dead Road Trip series will look back to 1982. Road Trips Vol. 4 No. 4 presents a performance from the Philadelphia Spectrum that took place on April 6, 1982. The first set includes fine versions of “Big Railroad Blues,” “Looks Like Rain” and “Candyman” but the meat of the action is in the second set. Opening with “Shakedown Street” the music then continues throughout, segueing through “Lost Sailor,” “Saint Of Circumstance,” “Terrapin Station,” “Drums,” “Space,” “Truckin’,” “The Other One,” “Morning Dew” and “Sugar Magnolia,” followed by an “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” encore. Road Trips Vol. 4 No. 4 also includes a portion of the previous night’s Spectrum second set: “Bertha,” “Playing In The Band” > “Ship Of Fools” > “Playing In The Band.” The release is expected to ship in early August.
