Last night, The Slip played a rare show at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl. Despite the group’s lack of touring, they showed little sign of rust as they performed the first show since their trip to Japan in February. The setlist featured a mix of old and new songs, including two debuts with Sam Cohen of Yellowbirds/Apollo Sunshine on second guitar. Cohen also sat with the trio on a jam heavy version of “Motherwolf” and joined in again for the first encore, “Get Me With Fuji.” The Slip plays The Met in Pawtucket, RI tomorrow night.
