Yonder Mountain String Band hosted the 10th annual Northwest String Summit and invited many of the fest’s fellow participants onto the stage during its six sets over the course of the weekend. Yonder performed as a quintet throughout the Horning’s Hideout event as Darol Anger joined the group’s Adam Aijala, Jeff Austin, Ben Kaufmann and Dave Johnston. On Friday they brought out Keller Williams at the close of set one for a run from “New Horizons” into “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” and then back into “New Horizons.” Then at the start of set two, Danny Barnes came out for “My Gal” and “Pretty Daughter.” Saturday saw Todd Snider join in as he appeared for “East Nashville Easter” and then “Just Like Old Times.” Danny Barnes later returned for a second day during “One More” and “Funtime,” before Bridget Law (Elephant Revival), Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth) and Jason Carter (Del McCoury Band) emerged during “Cuckoo’s Nest.” On Sunday, first-set closer “On The Run” saw Danny Barnes and Drew Emmitt step out as the lone guest musicians (beyond the aforementioned Anger).

This weekend Yonder will return to the stage at Floydfest.
