Galactic and JJ Grey to Play Halloween Weekend Shows

JJ Grey & Mofro will join Galactic for three Halloween Weekend shows in the state of Texas. The pair will perform at Dallas’ Granada Theater on October 26, Austin’s Stubbs BBQ on October 27 and Houston’s Warehouse Live on the October 28. Rebirth Brass Band’s Corey Henry and Living Colour’s Corey Glover will perform with Galactic throughout the mini-run. Grey has sat in Galactic numerous times over the years. Neither group has confirmed their Halloween night plans as of press time.

Dave- Wonderful, wonderful list. Thank you. Didn’t the guy who diercted Black Snake Moan also do Hustle and Flow?! That guy sure has his finger on the pulse I can’t wait to see what he does next.A few other relatively Gospel-themed movies from the last ten years that I’d add besides Gran Torino (which we use prominently in the Good News For People With Big Problems series btw plug!) are Lives Of Others, Little Miss Sunshine, Spiderman 2 and maybe The Dark Knight. I guess I tend to go for lighter fare I fully agree with your take on 21 Grams btw. Oy vey.p.s. that Office video you link to is amazing. Speaking of which, I would include the ending of the BBC Office [the best tv show of the decade imho] as one of the greatest unintentionally Gospel-ish pop culture moments of the decade.
