A Rare Guest for Bob Dylan

Dylan and the father of Lukas Nelson

Bob Dylan continues to circumnavigate the U.S. on his Never Ending Tour. Last night he dropped down in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium. Dylan who has been performing on guitar less and less over the past few years only appeared on that instrument for “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’” (one of the few songs where he has picked up a guitar on the current tour). A bit later however he augmented the group’s sound by brining out a guest musician, an invitation which has been quite rare of late. Joining him was Lukas Nelson (son of Willie), who lent his own guitar to “Highway 61 Revisited.”

Tonight Dylan moves on to Roberts Stadium in Evansville, IN

A look at last night’s setlist, as it appears in our Box Scores section:

MIght not be too well known, but Dylan has suffered from arthritis in recent years and it has stopped him from playing guitar. Sad since he’s one of the most under appreciated guitarists ever.
