Few musicians are as closely associated with Downtown New York as Patti Smith. So it makes sense that the punk-poet will play a special show to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the collapse of the World Trade Center on 9/11. The free shows will take place at New York’s Webster Hall on Thursday, September 8 at 8 PM. Smith—who watched the Twin Towers collapse on September 11—was asked to play the show at the invitation of France Inter, the French National Public Radio Channel. Reservations for the free show can be secured by emailing [email protected].
