Del McCoury to Enter the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame

On September 29, Grammy-winning bluegrass musician Del McCoury and pioneering bass player George Shuffler will be inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. With more than 50 years of touring under his belt, McCoury and his band are widely regarded as central to the bluegrass scene and as ambassadors to the genre. His collaborations with jazz, pop and country musicians on recordings, in the live setting and through national broadcast outlets have helped to bring bluegrass to a much larger audience, including the jamband scene. The International Bluegrass Music Awards will take place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. Tickets may be purchased online

I am not sure what morons are currently running the Bluegrass HOF, but the fact that McCoury wasn’t in the hall a long time ago is a travesty.
