Glen Campbell to Release Final Album

Legendary musician Glen Campbell will release the new album
Ghost in the Canvas on Surfdog Records next Tuesday. The album—which is supposedly the multiple Grammy Award winner’s final studio recording—features contributions from Paul Westerberg, Jakob Dylan, Robert Pollard and Teddy Thompson. On the album, Campbell is backed by an all-star group of musicians including Chris Isaak, Dick Dale, Billy Corgan, Brian Setzer, Rick Nielsen, Roger Manning and The Dandy Warhols. In conjunction with the release, Campbell will make a series of TV appearances starting tomorrow with an exclusive interview on World News with Diane Sawyer, followed by NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 12th and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on September 27th. Campbell will also celebrate the new release with the “The Glen Campbell Goodbye Tour,” the dates of which can be found here .

Campbell was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and plans to retire from the music industry. One of his final interviews is slated for publication in the October/November issue of Relix. The article is a conversation between Campbell, his wife and Yo La Tengo guitarist Ira Kaplan.

There is hope for Glen if he follows the dietary changes outlined in The Dynamite Story of Alzheimer’s Recoveries by Allen Golden. This book tells in plain language about how to defeat this dreaded disease. While recovery is not 100% it is enough to bring back much of the lost memory and personality. Not everybody does the same with this but success is strong!

“Diet changes” won’t do a thing. Alzheimer’s has nothing to do with diet. Just another charlaton trying to sell a book…
The best strategy is to smoke pot. Prevents the “cobwebs” from forming.

The Rhinestone Cowboy from my youth is retiring. Best of luck.
