On Wednesday September 14, Phish will play their first show in Vermont since Coventry at Essex Junction, VT’s Champlain Valley Exposition. As previously reported, the charity gig will benefit Vermont flood recovery efforts and all proceeds from the concert and merchandise sales will be directed to The WaterWheel Foundation and The Vermont Community Foundation. The Mimi Fishman Foundation will also assist the cause with an online auction for ten ticket packages, including a coveted “Friend of WaterWheel” package. The auction is currently live and can be accessed here.

The “Friend of WaterWheel” package includes preferred parking, a reserved box seat, a limited edition poster and access to a Vermont craft beer tent. Before Coventry, Phish’s last official Vermont show was a WaterWheel benefit at the Flynn Theater in 1997. The group also played a few songs as part of the original Higher Ground’s closing celebration in 2004 and made a stealth appearance at a Trey Anastasio Band show at the Flynn Theater in 1999.
