Additional guests joined Umphrey’s McGee at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl last night. After Umphrey’s McGee closed their second set with a powerful cover of Pink Floyd’s “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” Brooklyn Bowl/Relix principal Peter Shapiro took the stage to make his second song request in two days (on Wednesday he asked for some Led Zeppelin). This time Shapiro requested some Steve Miller Band, and the members of Umphrey’s McGee busted into their debut cover of “The Joker” with the help of hip-hop personality—and current Yo Gabba Gabba star— Biz Markie on vocals and Particle’s Steve Molitz on keyboards. Molitz also sat in on the evening’s finale, “Hangover.” Biz Markie was scheduled to DJ at the Bowl after Umphrey’s McGee’s set.

Umphrey’s McGee will perform at New York’s SoHo Apple Store later today and close out their Brooklyn Bowl residency this evening. Please visit our sister site Relix.com for more on yesterday’s S2 show.
