Joan Osborne, Jim Campilongo Join Jackie Greene

Jackie Greene and Joan Osborne with Trigger Hippy

Numerous guests joined Jackie Greene at New York’s Bowery Ballroom over the weekend. On Friday night, the members of Truth & Salvation—who opened the show—emerged for a cover of The Band’s “The Weight.” Then, on Saturday, Joan Osborne emerged at the end of Greene’s first set for “99 Lbs” and “Pretend You’re In Love With Me” (both Greene and Osborne have performed with Phil Lesh & Friends and are currently members of Trigger Hippy). Noted guitarist Jim Campilongo—who is best known for his work with Norah Jones and Little Wllies—also sat in on a stretch of songs second set like “Tell Me Mama,” “Working Man’s Blues” and “Mama Tried.” Greene will perform at a Rock and Wrap It Up benefit at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl tonight.

“Salvation” should be “Salvage Company”. Great band.
