R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck has confirmed his first tour since his seminal alt-rock band’s official break-up. Buck and longtime R.E.M. collaborator/The Minus Five visionary Scott McCaughey will back singer-songwriter John Wesley Harding on tour this November. John Wesley Harding’s backing group will also include the King Charles Trio, which features Decemberists members John Moen, Chris Funk, Jenny Conlee-Drizos and Nate Query. Harding is touring in support of his critically acclaimed new record The Sound of His Own Voice. In addition, John Wesley Harding will play a solo set at Scotch Plains, NJ’s Jewish Community Center this February.
