A portion of the first Nomad performance from 2009

As we first reported last week, Lotus stepped back into 2004 for its Halloween performance. On Monday night at the Valarium in Knoxville, TN, the group opened with“Golden Ghost” from its latest studio album, after which Lotus revisited its debut album Nomad. With the first notes of “Suitcase,” the band delivered the album in order, closing things out well over an hour later with the final song on Nomad, “Colorado.” This was only the second time that the band had performed the record, following its August 29, 2009 effort at Summer Dance II in Garrettsville, OH. The night didn’t end there however as the group then offered additional originals, performing “Dowrn,” “Hammerstrike,” “Kesey Seed” and a set-closing “Tip of the Tongue before returning to deliver “What Did I Do Wrong” and “Invincibility of Youth” for the encore.

Lotus is off tonight before a Wednesday appearance at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville, KY.
