Al Schnier by Chris Paul

The members of moe. have always been good about showcasing rising talent in the jamband scene. Last night, the group welcomed a new rising jamband troubadour, singer/guitarist/loop expert Zach Deputy, during their show at Birmingham, AL’s Workplay Soundstage. After opening the night, Deputy emerged for a cover of Jimmy Cliff’s “The Harder They Come” partway through moe.’s first set. Several other younger jamband musicians have joined moe. on the song recently, including Ryan Montbleau and Umphrey’s McGee’s Brendan Bayliss as well as Keller Williams. The show’s entire setlist can be found in our Box Scores section.
