The Motet To Perform Funk Is Dead, Best of Halloween in January
On January 27 and 28, The Motet will help Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom celebrate its 9th anniversary with two special shows. On Friday the 27th the group will revisit its Funk Is Dead performance from Halloween 2011, interpreting the music of the Grateful Dead with a special guest horn section. Then on Saturday the 28th, it will be the “Best of Halloween,” with songs from the many artists The Motet has covered over previous Halloweens, including: Talking Heads, Michael Jackson, Sly and the Family Stone Prince, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Earth, Wind & Fire and Tower of Power.
The Motet will kick off its New Year’s Eve run with Euforquestra on December 29 at PAC3 in Carbondale, CO.
