Since moving to New York for his regular gig on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Roots drummer Questlove has immersed himself in the city’s arts scene through numerous gigs, DJ spots, celebrity tweets and, of course, sits ins. On December 5, 2011, the drummer will prove his might in the kitchen as well when he takes over the Blue Note
for a three-course tasting menu featuring the international debut of “Love’s Drumstick, “his Creole-seasoned, buttermilk fried chicken drumsticks. Mirroring the three course tasting, Questlove will lead off a not to be missed three act “tour d’course” performance with close musical friends, including Roots MC Black Thought, Bobby McFerrin, former Roots MC Rahzel and the New Orleans inspired Brass Heaven. The Roots will perform at New York’s Highline Ballroom tonight.
