Is it fun for all my favorite bands to just skip over Texas? This is getting ridiculous. No Phish… That’ll probably never happen, Panic was here last year, nothing this year… No String Cheese Incident, No Disco Biscuits, No Umphrey’s, No Yonder. I get that we aren’t “cool” with the things their fans usually enjoy… but give me a break and play for the fans you do have here. I can’t afford to travel around to see all these bands anymore.

Panic played five shows in Texas this year.
Umphreys played three.
Yonder played three.
Disco Biscuits three.

Dude you must not be paying enough attention. Umphrey’s played 3 dates in Texas this past April. In fact, I can’t think of the last year that UM skipped over Texas. Phish played there last year at Austin City Limits which is a pretty cool fest in a really cool city. The Biscuits were there for the ID fest. SCI has only annouced like 15 dates over the past 3 years so you’re not alone… Also, Waka cant be too far from where you are and they usually have a solid lineup. I would suggest moving to Austin. Its the only cool city in Texas and tours are always rolling thru…

Move to Austin, man November 30, 2011, 14:23:00

I saw Phish there last October and Panic there the Halloween before that. I also have a copy of the show Yonder played there last April, which was pretty badass. Did you just crawl out from under a rock, man? Good luck to you.

I guess more specifically I was talking about going forward… and shows in Dallas. I have a job that requires me to work almost 7 days a week… and long hours. Disco Biscuits festival 7 song set wasn’t worth it to me. I caught Umphrey’s… and Panic last time they were in town. Phish festival set didn’t sound that enjoyable… and I didn’t want to pay that much for an ACL pass. I saw Yonder last time they were in town. I’m really talking about going forward and how these bands that do “southern” runs don’t usually come through Dallas. I misspoke by saying Texas.
