Dickey Betts & Great Southern recently returned from The Rock Legends Cruise, which sailed from Florida to Nassau, Bahamas and Coco Cay. While performing onboard, Betts invited a rather surprising guest to the stage. Partway through their set on the ship’s pool deck, Dickey Betts & Great Southern brought out fellow cruise performer Devon Allman to play guitar on the Allman Brothers Band classic “One Way Out.” Allman stood next to Betts’ son Duane Betts, who is one of Great Southern’s three guitarists.

Dickey Betts has not performed with his Allman Brothers Band co-founders Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks and Jaimoe since 2000. He has performed with current Allman Brothers Band guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks during that time.
