Best Post-2008 Phish Show and Festival Rumor

Phish’s year end run will begin in little over a week at Madison Square Garden. Before we get there though, we’re curious to learn what our readers think of the band’s performances since Phish returned in March 2009. So we now have a poll up on the site asking everyone to name the single show that they think represents the quartet’s peak performance. Voting is now underway, so head on over and make your move.

Meanwhile, Steven Green, publisher of a newspaper based in Ocean City, Maryland has written an editorial discussing the possibility that Phish may perform at the area’s first-ever High-Tide Music Festival in June. This seems extremely unlikely but perhaps not altogether out of the question.

Ocean City, MD plus Phish – sounds like trouble to me

Ocean city md is a family oriented beachtown with a great Fun side of tan easy babes, booze and food… OC and neighbor DE towns will simply make a fortune with all the fines. This is a very bad choice. Not to be a total buzz kill. We see it every summer. Freaked out folks with the k9 sniffing as the po tears apart cars dressed in all black like a ninja chop shop. Why have a fest in such a negative place for a … Fest?? That being said, I personally have no worries about all that so I hope it’s true cause that’s free babysitting and most of us are 100 show old fart timers…. Sweet! OC has a great ‘drunk bus’ service for anyone so use it! To my fellow prince phish generation. The kids are still allright…. just finding the way like we ‘used’ to. No way this is true though, really, no way….
