The newly-shorn Matisyahu opened his Festival of Light tour on Monday night at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg. Both the Monday show and last night’s performance began with “Open the Gates” and each of the sets closed with “One Day.” Monday’s gig also included takes on “Chop,” “Warrior” and “Sunshine,” while Tuesday’s featured “Miracle,” “Sea To Sea” and “Exaltation.” Both of the shows saw a special guest emerge for the encore as Youssoupha Sidibe appeared on Monday for a kora/beatbox jam while cello player Jacob Cohen, a cello player Matis met on the subway before the gig, joined for a cello/beatbox jam. Matisyahu will return to the Music Hall of Williamsburg this evening.
