The Allman Brothers Band will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 54th annual Grammy Awards this February. The group will be honored at an invitation-only event during Grammy Week and on the Grammy Awards telecast on February 12. Current Allman Brothers Band members Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks all have solo projects up for Best Blues Album at this year’s ceremony. The Allman Brothers Band has also won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Performance thanks to a live version of “Jessica” recorded in the ‘90s Other Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include: Diana Ross Glen Campbell, George Jones, Antonio Carlos Jobim, the late Gil Scott-Heron and the Memphis Horns.
