Although Primus’ scheduled December 30 performance with Jane’s Addiction in Hawaii was cancelled, the group has maintained the island spirit. Thus its two performances, on December 31 and January 1 at the Great American Music Hall have been dubbed the Primus Hawaiian Hukilau. The group will deliver two sets each evening along with “special guest Don Hoser, who will bring his unique Hawaiian sound.” In addition, the group is hosting a Hawaiian Shirt Contest. The band explains, “The winner will choose from a host of Hawaiian goods, one of which will NOT be a trip to Hawaii. Let’s bring Waikiki to the Great American Music Hall on New Years Eve.”
