Last night Railroad Earth performed the first of three shows at Denver’s Ogden Theater. Opening with “Seven Story Mountain,” the group performed two sets which also included a special look ahead to Saturday night. Towards the close of set two, the group turned on the house lights and initiated a countdown from ten to one, simulating what will take place on New Year’s Eve. The group’s Andy Goessling then offered a taste of “Auld Lang Syne” as well. The evening also included a notable run from “Colorado” into “Icarus” back into “Colorado” as well as takes on such songs as “1759,” “Black Elk Speaks,“Shockenaw Mountain Breakdown” and “The Jupiter and the 119.” Tonight Railroad Earth will be joined by Kyle Hollingsworth at the Ogden.
