Next month, Björk will bring her live Biophilia show to New York City for a special 10-night residency. Six of the performances will take place at the New York Hall of Science, while the other four will take place at Roseland Ballroom. For the New York Hall of Science shows, Björk has based the performance around her original Biophili specifications, resulting in an intimate setting where each member of the audience can watch just yards from the stage.

For the performances, Björk will employ a set of unique musical instruments including four 10-foot pendulum-harps, a MIDI-controlled pipe organ and twin musical Tesla coils. An award-winning 24-piece Icelandic female choir will also be present, with visuals from the Biophilia Apps.

Tickets go on sale January 13 at 10am through Ticketmaster. In addition to the live performance, Björk will collaborate with the New York Hall of Science as part of a three-week Biophilia educational series featuring interactive science and music workshops designed for middle-school children.
