The Return of Ripple

Grateful Dead cover band Ripple will reunite for a concert at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ on February 3. Last fall, Ripple reunited for the first time in eight years for a private party in Tappan New York. Since 1978, Ripple has carried the live excitement of an authentic Grateful Dead show to its fans. In 2003 Ripple disbanded and called it quits after 25 years.

Ripple guitarist James Saluzzi became a member of the Jerry Garcia Band in 2001, performing alongside Melvin Seals. Bassist Ronnie Penque recently released his first solo record Only Road Home—which climbed to the number one spot on College Radio—in addition to touring with New Riders of The Purple Sage for the past six years. New Riders’ drummer Johnny Markowski will also join the group for the entirety of the performance.

For those of you that haven’t ever seen Ripple – go check these guys out. You’ll be in for a real treat. These guys aren’t a tribute band. They bring you the vibe that is real. You’ll see.
