Last week, Primus announced a tiny benefit show at Brooklyn, NY’s Music Hall of Williamsburg. The show was a benefit for Les Claypool’s nephew Matthew who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at 2 months old and was recently admitted into the hospital. As Claypool explains, “Unfortunately, just at a time when he’s learning to walk, little Matthew has had a major relapse and is back at Stanford Medical Center for treatment. All Proceeds from this show will go toward Matthew’s medical bills. If you can’t make it to the show but would still like to support Baby Matthew and his family please visit www.babymatthew.org to make a donation.” After that show sold out, Primus have added a second tiny show across the East River at Manhattan’s Gramercy Theatre on February 9. While in New York, Primus will also tape an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
