Umphrey’s McGee celebrated their 14th anniversary this weekend with two sold-out shows at New York’s Best Buy Theater. On Saturday night, the Chicago sextet continued their tradition of debuting songs by modern electo-oriented artists at the Best Buy by busting into a first time cover of Daft Punk’s “Voyager” during their first set (Umphrey’s McGee debuted Phoenix’s “Lisztomania” in 2010 and Chromeo’s “Bonafide Lovin” in 2009). During their encore, the members of Umphrey’s McGee also paid tribute to Etta James, who passed away on Friday, by debuting a cover of the singer’s “At Last.” Longtime Umphrey’s McGee collaborator Jen Hartswick supplied vocals on the number. Umphrey’s McGee’s winter tour will continue with the annual Mayan Holidaze event later this month.

Umphrey’s McGee is profiled on the cover of the March issue of Relix. Also, be sure to check our Box Scores section for setlists from this weekend’s performances.
