Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge has been added to the lineup for the second annual Jungle Jam Music Festival, taking place February 17-19 at the Doce Lunas Resort in Jaco Beach Costa Rica. Burbridge will join Bill Kreutzmann and Max Creek guitarist Scott Murawski to reform the original lineup of BK3, who have not performed together in a number of years. As Kreutzmann told us in a recent interview aboard Jam Cruise:

“[Phish bassist Mike Gordon] introduced me to Oteil and the lead guitar player from Max Creek— Scott Murawski —and the three of us just had a time. I still have pictures in my mind of those two guys standing out in front of my drums just interlaced in their music. It was very, very, very high music. Sometimes when the music is like that it doesn’t last that long but when it was lasting it was really great. BK3 was great—really great trio. We don’t play together any more but I am looking forward to playing with Scott at Jungle Jam.”

In addition to performances by Max Creek Band and BK3, the festival will also host Zach Deputy and Ryan Montbleau Band.
