Ben Folds Five have reunited and are in the process of recording their first studio album since 1999. The trio—Folds, bassist Robert Sledge and drummer Darren Jessee—officially parted ways in 2000 but reunited in 2008 for a one-off at Chapel Hill, NC’s UNC Memorial Hall as part of a MySpace event. Sledge and Jessee also recorded three new tracks with Folds for his retrospective album The Best Imitation of Myself: A Retrospective . The trio plan to record through early March. A note from Folds’ camp says fans should follow his twitter page for more information on the reunion and recording sessions.
