Bootsy Collins, Taj Mahal, Doors guitarist Robby Krieger and left handed guitarist extraordinaire Eric Gales have joined the lineup for the Experience Hendrix tour. These acts will appear on select dates during the March tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Other acts confirmed to appear on various stops on the tour include: Buddy Guy, Dweezil Zappa, Billy Cox, Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas, Keb’ Mo, Eric Johnson, Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble’s Chris Layton and The Slide Brothers. A complete schedule of which artists will appear on which dates of the tour can be found on the tour’s homepage.
Before the tour kicks off, Randolph, Hidalgo, Rosas and Layton will preview the run during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The episode is slated to air on Monday, February 20.
