Luther with the Allstars

North Mississippi Allstars/Black Crowes guitarist Luther Dickinson will kick off a three-show run at New Orleans’ Maple Leaf this evening. Each night the guitarist will lead a different band. Tonight he will perform with local drummer Johnny Vidacovich and bassist James Singleton while tomorrow his band will consist of Vidacovich and Meters bassist George Porter Jr (Vidacovich and Porter play the club every Thursday as part of their weekly Trio show). Finally, on Friday Dickinson will share the stage with Vidacovich, Singleton and Galactic drummer Stanton Moore.
