Yonder Mountain String Band bassist Ben Kaufmann will miss a few upcoming shows for some happy personal reasons. The bassist and his wife Cheyenna Kaufmann recently welcomed a newborn baby. Infamous Stringdusters’ Travis Book will fill in for Kaufmann while he spends time with his new baby. A message from the band reads, “First of all, we want to send all our love to Ben & Cheyenna on this wonderful new addition to their family! We’ll have that little one pickin’ in no time. We’re excited to have Travis on board for a few shows in the meantime. He already knows a bunch of our tunes, he is a quick study, and his energy and rhythmic sense will be a great fit; and don’t worry there will be lots of surprises. Our newest dad will be back on the road with us very soon.” Yonder will perform at Baton Rouge, LA’s Varsity Theatre this evening as part of their Cabin Fever tour.
