Bob Weir Joins Lukas Nelson

Lukas Nelson and Bob Weir at TRI, via the TRI Facebook page

Bob Weir sat in with Lukas Nelson and his band at San Francisco, CA’s The Independent last night. The Grateful Dead/Furthur guitarist joined Nelson—one of Willie Nelson’s sons—for Bob Dylan’s “Maggie’s Farm,” the blues classic “Little Red Rooster” and Dylan “I Shall Be Released.” Ruby Stewart—Rod Stewart’s daughter—also added background vocals to the latter song. Weir and Nelson rehearsed before the show at Weir’s TRI studios. Despite being off the road, Weir has performed with RatDog, Steve Kimock & Friends, Tim Flannery and others while at home.

Good for Bobby keeping so busy. He’s really creating a wonderful legacy.

Now if these TRI performances would be made available on CD, or high quality audio downloads, that would be great.
