When Bruce Springsteen confirmed his upcoming tour and E Street Band lineup, he did not address who—if anyone—would replace late saxophonist Clarence Clemons. A few days before he’s set to perform at the Grammys, Springsteen has added a full horn section and backup singers to the E Street Band’s touring lineup. The ensemble includes past members of Springsteen’s touring band such as Cindy Mizelle (vocals), Curtis King (vocals), Eddie Manion (saxophone), Clark Gayton (trombone) and Curt Ramm (trumpet), as well as newcomers Barry Danielian (trumpet) and Jake Clemons (saxophone). Jake Clemons— Clarence Clemons nephew—was rumored to be the elder Clemons’ choice as a replacement or sub if he ever retired.

These musicians join official E Street Band members Bruce Springsteen (guitar, vocals), Roy Bittan (piano, synthesizer), Nils Lofgren (guitar, vocals), Patti Scialfa (guitar, vocals), Garry Tallent (bass guitar), Stevie Van Zandt (guitar, vocals) and Max Weinberg (drums). Auxiliary musicians Soozie Tyrell (violin, guitar, vocals) and Charlie Giordano (keyboards) round out the expanded band’s lineup.
