Little Feat has confirmed a short West Coast tour. The group will kick off their Pacific Coast in Sacramento, CA on March 17 and bring things to a close a week later in Park City, UT. The latter gig is a 4 PM show in the ski town’s resort village. The band promises new songs as well as “classics that always get your motor running and take you down memory lane.” As previously reported, Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne is working on a set of new songs with Robert Hunter.

In relate news, Payne will partner will Grateful Dead biographer/publicist Dennis McNally for a special program at Davenport, IA’s Redstone Room on April 5. Billed as “Tracing Footsteps: A Journal of Music, Photography, and Tales of the Road,” the evening will include a solo Payne live performance as well as presentation of the Little Feat member’s
photography. Payne will also offer commentary on his music, his career with Little Feat and beyond, while McNally will provide stories from his days working as publicist with the Grateful Dead and discuss some of his written works. He will also serve as moderator for the question and answer segment at the evening’s conclusion.
