Lake Trout spinoff Big in Japan will play an increasingly rare show later this month. The band will play both acoustic and electric sets at Baltimore, MD’s The Creative Alliance on Saturday, February 25. Celebration singer Katrina Ford will perform with the group for both segments. The show is free of charge. “In one of our favorite nights of the year, we celebrate the incredible, hand-picked artists who live and work at The Patterson with a building-wide free house party,” a note from the band reads. “The studios are open upstairs, plus a group exhibit by Residents and friends. Wrapping it up, local rockers Big in Japan – joined by vocalist Katrina Ford from Celebration – play an acoustic set in the Main Gallery, then an electric one in the Theater!”

Members of Big In Japan will also perform at Baltimore, MD’s The Wind Up Space this Saturday as part of “The Slow Down.” A semi-formal event devoted to slow will feature several groups singing their favorite love songs, including The Creepers, Lexie Mt., Steve Stromeier, members of Ed Schrader’s Music Beat, Lower Dens, Sri Aurobindo, Wye Oak and more. Proceeds will go to The Baltimore Community Foundation
