Two New York stalwarts sat in with Tea Leaf Green at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday night. Halfway through the group’s extended, single-set performance, RANA/Wolf! guitarist Scott Metzger emerged to play on Bob Dylan’s “The Man in Me” and the Tea Leaf Green original “Incandescent Devil.” The band’s cover of the song was a nod to the rare Dylan song’s inclusion in the bowling-themed film The Big Lebowski. A bit later in the show, area keyboardist Peter Levin—whose credits include The Blind Boys of Alabama and God Street Wine—sat in on “Dreaming Without Sleeping.” Both musicians returned at the end of the show for “Panspermic De-evolution.” Tea Leaf Green’s next show will take place at Millvale, PA’s Mr. Small’s Funhouse this Thursday.
