Soulive has added singer/songwriter Citizen Cope and vocalist Alice Smith to their upcoming Bowlive residency. The musicians will join Soulive at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl on March 8. That show will also feature guest appearance by George Porter Jr. and Billy Martin as well as a late night ?uestlove DJ set.

In related news, Soulive wrapped-up their three-day Snowlive run of shows at Boulder, CO’s on Sunday night. In addition to three two-set Soulive shows, the run featured various Royal Family Academy workshops, special guests and a musical themes (Soulive drummer Alan Evan’s recording workshop was a highlight for many). On Friday night, Jennifer Hartswick and the Hartswick Horns featuring Jonathan Stewart and Jon Gray joined Soulive for “Vapor,” “Hat Trick” and “Rock Steady” during their first set while JJ Grey and the horn section appeared on “Born Under A Bad Sign” and “Love & Happiness.” Grey also appeared on a set-closing version of “Stone Free,” while all the evening’s guests sat in for the encore of “Kissing My Love.”

The musicians joined Soulive for many of the same songs on Saturday; Soulive also brought out special guest Ivan Neville to play keyboards during its show. Neville and his Dumpstaphunk band mates Ian Neville (guitar) and Nikki Glaspie (drums) also sat in with the band during their Saturday night encore, “Uptight (Everything’s Alright).” Meanwhile, Sunday’s show included a special Beatles set, featuring covers of “Drive My Car,” “Revolution,” “In My Life,” “Come Together,” “Something,” “Get Back,” “Eleanor Rigby” and “I Want You.”
