Joey Porter’s Shady Business

In certain ways, the members of Colorado’s The Motet and New York’s extended Royal Family fill similar functions in their respective regions: both bands are national touring acts that also serve as something of their area’s unofficial house band. On March 24, members of The Motet and the Royal Family records crew will share the stage as part of Joey Porter’s Shady Business. Led by Motet keyboardist Joey Porter, the group will bring together Shady Horns (Soulive / Lettuce), keyboardist/singer Nigel Hall (Warren Haynes Band / Lettuce), drummer Dave Watts (The Motet / Juno What?!), bassist Garrett Sayers (The Motet) and guitarist Ryan Jalbert (The Motet). The Motet will perform at the Snowball Music Fest this weekend.
